I'm Qa'id Jacobs; a creativity engine based in Amsterdam. I've spent twenty-plus years designing for profit and for purpose, across music, marketing, travel, HR tech, sports analytics, and human rights. Six industries. Countless intersections. That range is the point. The winding path taught me to connect dots across sectors, disciplines, and worldviews—and to find what others miss. Endlessly curious. Detailed by practice.
The Story
My first career was in music – marketing at major labels in New York, co-founding a production company, DJ'ing across the city. When that world shifted, I pivoted to design and never looked back.
Since then, I've worked with partners in the human rights space, travel, global marketing, HR tech, and sports analytics. I've designed products for profit and built tools for movements. I've led teams, mentored designers, and stood on stages telling stories about what this work means. Eventually, the path led me to Amsterdam, where I founded Constellation Design.
Along the way I learned that this winding path wasn't the detour, it's been the method. Each industry taught me something the others couldn't. Each sector sharpened a different instinct. Now I bring all of it to the table: the systems thinking, the cultural fluency, the belief that the best solutions come from connecting unexpected dots.
I work with partners who want more than execution. They want a partner who sees the whole picture and isn't afraid to challenge assumptions to find what's actually possible.
